Institute for Cryptoeconomics, Blockchain and Innovation opens at UNWE

The government has decided to open an Institute of Cryptoeconomics, Blockchain, and Innovation (ICBI) at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE). This was decided by the Council of Ministers at its regular meeting today. The proposal for the new structure was made by the university rector following a decision by the Academic Council.
The reasons for opening the new institute are dictated by the entry of blockchain technologies into the global economy, which is radically changing the way economic agents interact. Therefore, it is necessary to create an educational and research infrastructure that is adequate to the transformations. Through the creation of the Institute, UNWE will be able to provide economic research and consulting services related to Web 3.0, blockchain technology, and crypto assets.
The Institute is expected to conduct scientific research and publish the results in renowned scientific journals with international scientific ratings, as well as organize and participate in national and international scientific forums and other academic events.
